Rightio took my tank off whilst i did some welding and doing the disc conversion, when i first took the tank off i thought id just buy a new one, but after stripping another car i realised mine was actually in not bad nick but during that time i just left it sat outside,, took the sender out had a look inside with the torch and its got speckling of rust 10% coverage, any way to get rid of it, i,e something i could pour in or is it now deffo time for a new tank?

Phosphoric acid, commonly available as various branded anti-rust treatments, if it's only speckling then it would be shame to waste it.

awesome cheer fella i say biacth as a term of endearment. I think ill give a few days to dry out, let the petrol vapour evaporate off then ill get started.

Yes, definitely let it dry out! But don't use any heat to help it on its way!

Once you've de-rusted the inside, frosts do a tin of fuel tank sealer. Pour in, tape up holes, slosh about for a bit, then pour out. It will help stop the rusticles coming back
