Testing ignition module

Can someone sanity check this idea?

I want to test my ignition module, to rule it in or out of my non-starting problem.

So, I'm thinking if I apply power to pins 2 (ground) and 4 (12v supply), and connect a 12v bulb across pins 1 (coil negative) and 4 (12v supply), and then apply 2v (or should that be 5v?) to pin 6 (hall sender input) the bulb should light...
