What help is it you actually want?
The advise is good but while you're there you may as well upgrade the lot.

Yes, if you upgrade one bush it is likely the handling/ride will be affected badly. At the very least you want to replace matching pairs of the bushes across the same axle.

If you use your car infrequently, or want a firm, sporty ride, poly bushes will be good. Otherwise, I would go for standard OEM quality bushes for a car you're using every day or want a factory ride quality.

Lot's of debate about OEM vs Polybush re ride quality. It's really a matter of personal choice what you are trying to achieve handling/comfort wise. As far as how long the bushes will last tho I don't think it's really an issue. Just replacing my rear bushes now and the car is 25 years old and still on the original fittment. The ones coming off are out of shape but still serviceable in terms of the mot. I'm not sure polybushes could last any longer ? Anyway, it's time to replace the brackets now so that's good enough for me.

As if it was worth putting on these outer bushes as I have been told they last longer then standard ie 20 years.

We have Scarlet Scally lowered by 40 mm all round. We are going to change the bump stops in the future as this gives it a better ride.We don't use the car ever day don't want it a stiff ride.As was all so told by our mechanic to poly bush the whole car is more for track days which do not do.

So OEM ones would be good enough as I said on here before she is lowerd by 40 mm all round we are going to put better bump stops as this does improve the ride to OEM and all so we are going to put on in the future a lower strut brace.

Bump stops will not improve the ride, they are just the last line of defence for your suspension.

Suspension is a matter of personal choice, some like firm some soft.

A good combination is Bilstein B4 shocks and Eibach springs to match, lowers the car by about 30mm but still good for everyday driving.

If you do drop the car you will need shorter bump stops, I dropped my Golf by 40mm and it was driving on the old standard bump stops, I had to cut them down but after a couple of years the bump stops keep falling in half so had to keep super glueing them.
