cambelt engine mount

Post by steviet_1988 »

Hi

I was very near to getting the rest of the engine out of my scirocco until the cambelt engine mount rubber fell appart and just
keeps turning.
has anyone came across this before and knows what to do next?

thanks for any help in advance.

mine was fine when i did it but i know my mate had issues with his bolt seizing in the metal sleeve sounds like thats what has happend to yours
it's bolted to the side of the block so the easiest way would be unbolt it from the block lift the engine out then cut the bolt with a hacksaw and replace the mount
