Hello,
The 2e2 carb has been doing my nut it. I have traced the fault (i.e. overrun, high ish idle (1100/1200 rpm)) to a broken 3/4 point unit. Been round the local scrap yards to try and get a second hand carb but htey didn't seem to know what a carburetor was. Ebay is an opiton but no garantees that the 3/4 point unit will be worrking.
Does anyone know where I can get a new one?
Does any one know if they can be repaired?

Re: 3 4 point unit
Hi mate
Got similar problem with the 2e2 on my wifes
GT, theres a great article on this carb on club gti web site, well
worth a look before you condemn the carb.
If yours is dead then there is a guy on eBay who repairs
2e2's. You can search under pierburg 2e2.
I havent given up on mine yet. .....but it's sounding a
lot like the symptoms you're dealing with.
All the best in sorting this
Wish I could be of more help
Best regards Rob
