Coming back to the 'forum after many (many)years away....
I've have a 90 GTII auto thats been off the road/garaged for approx 6yrs, finally have time to get round to swapping out the 3pd slushbox for something more befiting... (it might be lucky and get a 16v on carbs at the same time...)
The question is what is a reasonable price to pay for all of the necessary bits for the swap (not many roc's turn up in my locally scrappy to liberate parts from these days..). Have been offered all the linkages, rack and column for £120, does this sound reasonable?
I have a 'box and starter etc leftover from a swap in my Golf mk1, so its the restt of the parts list as per the extremly handy FAQ on this very forum...
Gear stick & selector shafts, rods and brackets
Manual Steering Column/pedal bracket. Pre-1984 cars can also benefit from a post-1984 pedal mounted brake switch on the later brackets.
Manual Steering Rack (has brackets for the manual gear rods that the original auto Rack does not have)
Thanks in advance and excuse the newb... below is the car in better days...
