New ARB bushes - big difference?

Post by Beddo88 »

Hi all,

I'm planning on fitting my new downpipe next week, and figure it's easier to drop the ARB out of the way to give me a little more space to fit the new one! Whil the ARB is off I figure I may as well replace the bushes on it, so I've ordered those. Will replacing these bushes make a big difference? I know mine are old and fairly knackered, but how much impact does the front ARB actually have?

Cheers,
Dan

PS. Fingers crossed replacing the downpipe makes the front end of the car a lot quieter!

if the bushes were tight on the arb, probably won't make much difference to the handling. taking the bar off alltogether, you will notice a big differnce.

might make it a bit less crashy if they had gone soft

So as per my other thread.. Both of the wishbone mounts were shagged/sheared on the front ARB. As a result, it's currently off the car and I'll admit I've actually noticed very little difference between the two.

I'm running coilovers which I suppose makes a difference, and there does appear to be slightly more roll. Also more movement allowing my slightly worn top mounts to make more noise!!
