Accelerator peddle cable bush

Post by Jonathan »

Small problem yesterday, happily driving allong and the accelerator peddle disappeared from under my foot, luckily not far from home so rode it slowely back on the manual choke, on removal of the underside of the dash small perished bits of what looks like rubber fell out and it could be seen that the cable was simply not attached to the peddle any more, it looks like this small bit of rubber acts as a bush for the cable to locate in, any ideas where I can get one of these, I haven't had much luck locating one. Might have to make something like.

Thanks, Jonathan

Or 191721559 which is the Golf pn.

It's made of a different type of rubber.

If you are lucky I might have a spare.
