I love mk1's. But for some reason i dont like this one. Think its the wheels. and what is prob the most boring colour ive seen ever. I found the US rabbit more of an interesting read, the paint on that i likeses!

I really don't understand why they bother telling us the manufacturer. I mean, they wouldn't mention carpet mats from Aldi, would they?

It also really annoys me when I see cars worth tens (sometimes hundreds) of thousands of pounds in the classic car mags, and they make a point of a matching set of new Sava tyres. They're probably the most important thing you buy for your car, in terms of safety and driving pleasure. Buy decent tyres, please!

I think the car is great a fantastic credit to the owner, its not 100% to my taste, i'm not sure on the interior and many will not like the "scene" looks but a quality build with some quality engineering.

Correct, to get that stretch size you sadly have to look at the "budget" makes such as Nankang.

I like what the saugergroup do with VW's. Motorsport spec engines with a show car feel. Can't say im feeling the 17's tbh but as others have said its all the rage in Europe, Im hoping the trend passes

Nankangs are perfectly good for the speed limits of the uk roads there are alot worse tyres out there. ive ran them stretched in the past. Fair play they don't handle as well as a perfect fitting tyre but they are far from ditch finders

seats look like retrimed escort turbo's. their identical to whats in my truck.

as has been said above, yes the wheels seem too big but each to their own.

the rest of it i personally can't fault.

Why go to all the effort of creating a Motorsport engine for a car that'll probably never top 10mph? Something cobbled together from a mobility scooter would be more appropriate.
