Rear screen without heated rear screen?

Im just wondering if early cars came without a heated rear screen at all?

I imagine getting one would be fun and it wouldn't be bronse tinted to match my glass?

Think they all came with heating in uk not sure about European ones? What about having it specially made?

Sure my '75 has a heated rear screen, clear glass too. Though maybe as its a TS that's why? Ido t think base models , with the rectangular headlights were sold in the uk. So might be worth tracking down someone in the know on the continent to find out?

The 'old school' method is to polish out the heater element from the glass.
