As above.
On leather door cards is the complete door card leather or just the area where the door opener sits ??????
Can't make my mind up.

All leather, much more leather than are fitted to modern cars.

Bought a leather dye to freshen up my bolster (Angelus Pro Black) and was happy with the original results but now I'm not so sure.
Don't know if it is just the unnatural light but it is giving a mauveish tint appearance.
Tried it on the bottom panel of this door but now I'm not so sure.

It has still to get a second coat.
Back to the drawing board methinks.
Off to watch MoTD and have a think.

I've dyed both the brown and the blue storm doorcards black using the leather dye spray from Frosts and the finish was perfect, and they were still perfect after 6 years when i sold them>

Not sure how to put a link up but heres the details: Its called Interior Coat and it comes in a 400ml spray can (Frosts code: U220), think i used 2 cans for a full set of doorcards, also prepared the doorcards with the interior clean (U230) and the interior prep (U235). Like i said i had the doorcards in my GTI for about 6 years and they didn't crack or peel, still looked perfect when i sold them, also people didn't know they weren't original black leather unless i told them.

Just thought I'd update this.
Door card now looks like this after two coats - still to be polished.

It is very hard to get a good pic under the lights.
After my original doubts I have decided to carry on with the second door card.
Is it too in your face, will it dull down, should leather be this shiney, plastic looking, can I do the steering wheel ???????????

Problem is where you've done them you're always going to notice what's wrong with them.
I reckon they look fine. As brown has said, once the gubbins is back on they'll calm down a bit. If you're that concerned why not try leather food rather than a polish?

Stuck the door pocket on and it still didn't look right.

Maybe once I pop my new door decals on and lacquer it it will look OK.

Silver on black.

Hello mate, I think with the right product a proper leather cleaner and/or conditioner might well bring them back. I'm not personally feeling the decals for the doors, on the inside if that's what you mean

I thought you were going for a rear screen Scirocco decal?
