Pic request for fitted bulkhead repair panel

Post by eefy »

As the subject say, had a repair panel for where the clutch comes through the bulkhead for far to long (been playing with fire i know) any way i no it needs trimming down to fit so i was after any pics or advice on fitting one to an injection car :) oh and dont worry the bulk head is solid, this it just preventative.

Got a day to my self in a few weeks to going to hit the car for a few jobs and this will be one :)

thanks in advance :)

I take it you have the larger golf plate rather than the smaller, and frankly useless, Scirocco plate?

Hope this helps, this is the only pic that I have and its been welded in and plastered in paint. You can just about see the outline (hopefully) to get the shape? This car is a Mk1 so you may also have to drill a hole for your MFA vac tube on your Mk2, I can't remember off hand how close to the clutch cable that it passes through the bulkhead.
