Post by MCBailey »

Hey guys, came across this :

Just wondering if anyone has any information about this?
Looks like a custom job but I could be wrong, there's never been quad squares for a mk1 have there?

Thanks for any information guys, Mark!

Did think if it was a legit grille it would most likely be by someone like Kamei.
However, with kamei i've only ever seen/come across the quad round light grille of theres so unless this one slipped under the radar or is extremely rare it would have to be by a different company I suppose.

Still leaning towards it being a custom grille but interested to learn more if it's not! Also interested on peoples opinions! :dunno:
Thanks, Mark

There's a mk1 that always turns up to Roadstar with a similar (if not the same) kit.

*found it - not the car I had in mind but it's def the same kit (pic from Glenn aka Redrum's Roadstar 2011 album)

After a bit of researching it seems it is a legit grille.

It's a Zender one :)

Have you been using ebay.de? Its always tempting, they have lots of wings on there but I worry I will get a rotten panel or it will get damaged in transit. I think the lights on the yellow mk1 are actualy USA spec mk2 lights. Its probably easily achieved if thats a look you like.

Yeah I use it alot, never bought anything yet as ALOT seem to dislike shipping internationally, not 100% sure why as I'm covering all the costing!

It is definately a zender mk1 grill have come across many examples of it now and I'm leaning towards it rather a lot, even more so than TV lights. Which is good news as I'm sure it'll save me a lot of money!
