brought another! oops

Post by monzajake »

While wasting time a few nights back i stumbled on a shell. Its a gls in need of welding, panels & a sunroof (full length type)
I have no idea what ive really brought how bad it is or anything but for a grand sum of 77 quid it had to be had.
I'll load up some pics so as i can. Quite excited tbh.
Right went and picked it up today and was quite surprised with the condition. Rear chassis are sound, inner sills are pretty good bottom of "A" pillers are good and sills and rear arch's are pretty good just the odd patch to be done. The scuttle panel tho is almost detached from the bottom of the "A" pillers and there is a massive hole in the roof where it once had a full length rebasto roof.. Tbh if that was there or it was a solid roof id think about keeping it.
The car tho runs and drives and stops !
Turns out to be a R reg 76 77 year.
Anyway will supply what im needing for mine belive it or not.
Pics..

That is a heluva find.

At that price! decision is do you use it for the front panel?

Never seen the W/S washer bottle in that position before

Hi jimmy.

Yeah im going to use the front panel maybe as i have 3 others now to choose from so best one wins. Also going to use the panel just under the rear lamps as its perfect.

Dead cheap price all in owes me 100 quid and i get loads of panels and abit of scrap to go with the rest of stuff..

Doesn't look too bad, that. What's it like underneath. I'd have thought a solid Mk1 shell was getting to be worth proper money these days. Tickle it with the old welder and sell it on, if you don't want it yourself.
