Got Bored tonight so assembled some bits, suspension springs should be back next week.

Evening chaps, does anyone know of a good paint to replicate the original drum and caliper colour that greyish silver or should I just go with a satin black ?

Had the last remaining bits blasted today an will get off to order coaters tmoz will have some pics then. Did every mk2 scirocco have a rear anti roll bar ? Mine doesn't...

Don't think so, but don't quote me on that.
I've got to be quite honest it's not what I would have done (and clearly didn't) but its simply awesome watching the build. The dedication is superb.
Cannot wait to see it in the flesh.

UK Market 1.5CL/1.6CL/1.6GL/1.6GT didn't have rear anti-roll bars as standard I understand -

Had the Bushes all Taped up with 6 layers of Duct Tape:
Forgot to take pic of beam, was dropped off this morning so will have some pics tmoz.

As always got bored did some more: Quite worried about this fuel tank, tank is in great condition apart from this bit. What should i do?

You know I had not bothered reading this thread because I was not too interested in "Best way to sell a 86 Scirocco GT ??"
But seeing what it is about now I just read all of it :)

btw, who's house is it were the rear beam etc is on the living room carpet
My missus would allow it, but many wouldn't ;)

Good and bad news today, removed the rear light and found this NOOOO!
But received these so can fit them today, while I ponder how to resolve this RARE rust patch.
