theres no need for the vent now, the new manifold means the carbs dont hit the bonnet quite as much. although the hole isnt needed the bonnet bracing still would need to be removed if i bought a new bonnet.

just want to get something neater than a plate bolted down really haha. could just smooth the plate in so its a very small hump...would look okay i think.

What about a corrado style bump. It would mean up the front and think it be gd.

bold and awesome! haha. its costing 50 quid in paint and about 50 in tools, thinners etc so its not the end of the world if it all goes wrong.

bonnet will be going matt black for a few weeks whilst the rest of the car goes orange. its just to tidy it up and not waste orange paint before i sort the bonnet out properly. still unsure what to do to it though, or how im going to do it.

oh, gutter trims...do i fill them in...

If your gonna do the gutters your best to lead fill them bud for def. You be going through tins of fibreglass or whatever to fill them and will most prob crack. What type of orange are you thinking on it? You been getting much driving done in it, or the golf the daily?

Got rid of the mx5 and got a lil polo g40, going to be looking for a mk1 golf or mk1 scirocco shell for the engine.

its ral2003. pastel orange. proper retro cool.

i prob wont fill the gutters right now. too time consuming

not really driven it much, has a problem starting. think its new plus, coil, dissy etc time.

i love the old polo coupes, prob my fav vw ever. perfect cross between rocco and golf lines

Yeah they're great cars and with the power of a g40 with the torque it just feels great. Going from a 2l corrado to that and the polo feels beastly lol.

I do love a pastel orange, what kind of wheels and that are you going for.

ill put some pics up on monday but im running the 7 &8" et 15/20 bbs rs reps off my golf. put the mims back on the golf. looks really good right now i think, really torn whether its worth painting her now :/

nah dont paint it, the colour its in is nice. saw your other wheels up for sale, bargain price. Was gonna pm you but 16's wont fit the g :(

heres how she sits atm. bit high but loving the comfort!

also the brown looks great but it is goosed. bubbles, scratched, chipped. so could do with a go over anyway. hard choice, always wanted a orange rocco but now finding it hard to imagine. need to see if i can get it photoshopped to see what its like

i think the brown will suit it more. Don't ever see any in that colour. got so much want for a rocco again, can not find the right one though. How come your selling the rota's, they suited it well just needed a wee bit more drop.

yeah i may have to just tidy her up, but theres a lot that needs doing if im going for a good show finish. ill paint sommet else orange haha.

dont think the rotas suited it for the look i wanted really, much prefere the reps. if the rotas sell then thats a plus but if not ill refurb them and keep them as spares/winters. they do look good though, sit real nice.

i want to keep her sitting quite high so it has the ground clearance in the lanes. but ill slam it for shows etc, bonus of coilovers lol.

after driving it loads this weekend i really dont ever want to sell her, but if the right offer comes along itd be a hard choice
