Right it has been a while and the sensable car situation has got worse. The passat died a few. Months ago so I ended up getting a 08 zafira for work and dad cab dutys but haven't been able to bring myself to sell the rocco.
The good news is the zafira is so boring I am going mad driving it every day so gonna get the rocco going again and put it on a diet.
New plan- cheep coilovers new pedal box and hydrolic clutch gearbox with cable change, loose the servo and linkage, loose most of the dash, heater, carpets, sound deadening. Satin black the inside, lexan windows and tidy up the bodywork.

Maybe later swap in a 20vt but just working on fun at the mo.
As its no longer my daily I don't have to worry about being back on the road next morning so no more stressing over parts not arriving just seeking out at night so I can go for a blast up to the 8Ball

Well the rocco has been off the road for over 2 years now and hadn't been touched for ages but not forgotten. Tonight I finally got round to fixing the earthing problems that took it off the road in the first place, some fresh petrol and it fires right up every time and is running loverly.
During the 2 year layup the interior has been striped out and the metalwork inspected just a few small patches of rust were found one by the accelerator pedal where the fuel line tabs are On the floor and another where the filler pipe bolts to the body in the rear inner arch. As soon as I collect some gas for my welder I will take care of them and fill the washer jet hole for the rear screen, the aerial hole in the front wing And any surplus trim holes I find.
After that a quick lick of paint to tidy it up Spray the interior in raptor bed liner to try to quieten it down and lessen the maintenance and fit some cheep coilovers to replace the broken lowered spring on the front.
Get it MOT'd and use it weekends.
After that
Swap to megasquirt/spark
Pollycarb windows
Fiberglass sunroof
Roll cage
Arb's
Cable change/hydrolic gearbox
Obp bias pedal box and servo delete
Battery relocation
And maybe a couple of subtle body mods that I have been thinking about for a few years.
And proper paint.
Oh and not leave it so long between updates.

glad to be back, things will be progressing again as soon as the coilovers arrive and I can start to get it ready for the mot.
Not doing anything on the car made looking on here like being stuck home sick over the school hols when you live next to the park, so I stopped. Now its Playtime
