Cheers. :-).

Couldn't resist buying it. If I can't get it going it may be back up for sale.
Am not one to give up easily though, Got more jets on order so fingers crossed I can figure it out.

I've been called worse. ;-).

To be honest I think all I need now is jets. Got both the carbs jetted the same now and have reduced the size of the idle jets and its running a lot better. Still needs a lot of tweaking but its getting there.

On another note, my first trimsport purchase turned up this morning. :-).

Not so much of an update on the car, but have been playing at Kames in Muirkirk today.

It's the 50th anniversary of the East Ayrshire Car Club and they are holding a Golden Years Weekend.

A few nice cars there today but most importantly a chance to get my car on the track, for free. :-).

If anyone fancies a go they are doing the same tomorrow.

Was a great day helped by the weather and good to finally get the chance to drive it properly without the worry of little blue lights appearing behind me. :-)

I will put some pictures up of the other cars, just haven't really had much time to sort through my camera yet.

Been a while since I've done anything other than general maintenance on the car. Nothing particularly interesting or problematic but that can only be a good thing really.
Passed its MOT last month, 2nd round time after failing on the front brakes and emissions. The MOT man's gas analyser doesn't like my cam. :-).

Finally got some interesting news, New Wheels on today.

More updates to come in the next few weeks.

195/45/15. It might need to come up a little bit though, getting a bit much scrubbage when cornering.

The manifold is available just not got round to advertising it anywhere. I gave up on it because the car is my daily driver and needed it running properly so just switched back to the single carb. It was pretty impressive but I just couldn't get it quite right in the time I had.
The wheels are speedline turbine or turbo can't remember which. Originally off a Renault.

At some point it will be. Need to get a few other bits together first. And decide if I want to stick with the standard ECU or get an aftermarket one for it.

Still slow going, but I have been collecting parts and reading and researching over and over again.
Rear strut brace purchased from here now fitted.
Exhaust flexi and a rather large looking Mercedes Sprinter Intercooler are sat waiting with the engine.
Have taken the ECU to be de-immobilised and have the loom modified to plug straight into my fusebox.
Was planning on doing the loom conversion myself but decided it would probably be a better idea to send it away and get it done right, rather than cause myself more problems by trying to do it all myself.
That should be done in the next couple of weeks then will be ready to get the engine in and try and work out where to put all the inlet pipework and get the downpipe to meet my current exhaust.

Will try and get some pics of it all going in. Have been a bit useless with the camera recently.
