It's to cover the MOT tester, it's like 'sills covered by bodykit', it means they can't check properly.

BTW, did you keep the front strut assemblies? In the pics it just looks like surface rust on the struts. There is always a market for them if you don't want to refurbish them.

No. Thrown in the bin, didn't think of getting rid of them to be refurbished for someone
