Coming together nicely scratchfree!
They have 5ltr cans of the quantum blue oil on the shelf at SmithKnightFay in Bury if you need some asap.
Oil is a matter of choice, but I prefer to stick with what was recommended for the car by the manufacturer. Quantum blue is a mineral oil - some people prefer full/part synthetic oils, but use of these oils can lead to seals shrinking causing leaks, which is why I don't use it.

Have you had a rummage through the "for sales" on here.
These items are usually available.
Try ianaudia4, markh, bensspares, marcains, mk2moo, or any of the other regular sellers, at least you know they come recommended.

I want the washer bottle to be new... TPS in Oldham said it's been discontinued and no one seems to sell a pattern part... I have a bottle but is a bit dull!

Good work on parts
Soap/bleach and rice (uncooked) shake it to remove the dirt! I'm sure you can get the bottles from somewhere?? think it's the same on mk1 golfs/caddys?

Either clean it as suggested or get a new one for £23.50 + p&p from VW Heritage.
