Here is my Scirocco (with workmate Sean stopping to have a giggle) blocking up the middle of Lincoln this afternoon after my clutch cable snapped! :shocking:
And I still have my "MOT wheels" on due to my slick inner edges! New rubber very soon.

LOL!

Thats all fixed now by my own hand! But it did mean me doing a 8 mile bike ride to get a new cable.

Anyway take a look at my tyre wear!
Got camber?

So off they came (for the MOT) and on went some 185/45/15's that give a really nice strech

I went for a drive when I put them on and I now have no rubbin' at all! I could then go lower I guess!

FUN AND GAMES!

(without the fun)

:dash:

I was loosing water from the side of the block from the headgasket. So headgasket change was on. This was back in June time.
That went well.....
The next day I ran the car and all the oil got pumped into the water system! Having only changed the water cooled oil cooler last year, I thoughtit could not possibly be the cooler. After taking the head off another two times thinking i'd done it wrong (even getting a friend in to help on the last time tomake sure I was not doing something daft) it did it again. I then was told by new workmate who knows more then most about these things to by-pass ther water cooed oil cooler. And whatdo you know, oil came pumping out of the water side!!!
After that the fuel pump in the fuel tank gave up,
Most headlight plastic nuts broke as I was driving home at night. the headlight beams doing a can-can on the road ahead!
...and at the moment I keep having to replace water hoses and the fan didn't work the other day (thats new too) and water is dissapearing out of somewhere, I suspect my (also newish) radiator!

.....more to come I feel.

Yep new radiator needed! (and warmer weather)

Yeah, a very talented friend of mindmade the arch rollerout of a VW widow-maker car jack! It works so well!

Also my lass Claire has bought me the big old SCIROCCO sticker for the back window for my birthday! A bit of old skool cool!

:yahoo:

Nice motor - love the wheels. Lincoln too, not far from me...check the diary section we are having a little meet a the end of Jan if you are interested.

Does your friend have a little guide for how to change a widowmaker into an arch roller? Wouldn't mind giving that a go.

Ash

I'm already going to that meet!
And I think my mate may be there too. (He'll either be in a 200SX or a Manta, as the local car club looks like it'll be joining the dub meet)

I am the current owner of this beast.
Ive got a build thread somewhere down the pages, hasn't been updated in a while due to me being out of the U.K and the car being in storage.

I just popped in to have a look around and was amazed to see my thread on page one!

I don't think there are many in Lincoln these days. I sometimes see a black one outside Halfords on Tritton Road.

How is the old beast?
I've a mate at Marham on 2 Sqn who keeps me informed on the car. He said he's not seen it for a while but if it's in storage that'll be why.
