Don't know why VW Heritage are saying they can't get it, Classic Parts are showing it in stock at €59.50 plus p&p.

Well they are right as I rang them twice yesterday and i have checked the web site as you said there are showing stock looked under electrics here see for you self no stock part is obsolete as i said yesterday here----

Excuse me, but did I say that VWHeritage had them? No, I don't believe I did.

I think that if you re-read my post you will see that I said 'Classic Parts' have them, this is the German company that VW Heritage gets stuff from and the Classic Parts website says that they are available. That is why I quoted the price in EUR and not GBP.

If Classic Parts have a problem with their online stock system, fair enough, but it might be worthwhile asking the organ grinder instead of the monkey for parts availability.
