the usualy test for a cv joint is do drive drive briskly in a circle on full lock. do it turning left and right. a cv joint dying should give you a regular and solid sounding clock-clonk-clonk

you should be able to get hold of new joints from GSF or euro car prats quite easily. they'll probably want your old ones off you though. but if you're not 100% sure, get someone knowledgeable to check it out for you first. to replace all 4 cv joints you'll be looking close to £200 in parts alone
