It is actually also the grill I would need for the TV lights sadly! Thanks for the link however I needed some boot struts and noticed they are stocking them there so will have to order some!
the grilles come up from time to time on ebay - i know where a NOS one is located if you're desperate, i left one with Ant last year as a spare for Redroc.

Gorgeous

That is one heck of a nice Mk1 Rocco you have created there, well done!
In Thailand above all places, too. Been twice myself, never thought there would be a Roc hiding there somewhere.

@MCBailey: And don't forget the bracket for TV lamp which is different than the quad rounds. I'm not sure how hard it is to find though.
@GTXTRA: I only put 7x15 ET25 in the rear. Front are stock mk2 6x15. Actually, I still have another set just like this.

I'll be waiting.
If I didn't buy this one from my friend, I would paint my 77 the same blue as your avatar. Love it!! Is it yours?

Judging by how nice your car looks I shall take that as a great compliment!
Are there many mk1 Scirocco's in Thailand?

No more than 20 that i know of.
3 restored including mine. All Nepal Orange.
1 with berg cup kit and 1.8t engine. It's a pity the owner got bored and left it half way. I'm trying to locate this project.
4 unrestored that belong to my friends and my 77.
Few others that i've seen. One of them is LHD.
Probably few more abandoned somewhere.

In the UK you're supposed to declare your car as off-road when not taxed/insured - these figures are publicly available.
The latest figures show only 1 TS on the road and another 10 declared off-road.
There are a lot more GLS (50+) but only a handful will be the early shape.
Out of interest (and you don't have to answer) but how much is good mk1 worth in Thailand?
