How to remove black side skirts?

Post by scratchfree »

Im looking to do a full underneath detail, but struggling to remove the black bumpers that run under the rear arches.. I have undone all screws and removed the black caps and undone them screws (the ones that join side to wheel bumpers) Now it seems they are free from the lower part but not from where the bumper joins to the upper panel...

Anyone help ?

They are glued on with sealant for that last bit on the side.

Use a sharp breakoff knife to cut through the glue/sealant wile pulling it of gently.

I always use Sikaflex 221 and this way to hold in place whilst drying.
