Newton Commercial Under Floor Kit - doddle to fit - I fully endorse it..

I had a bit of an issue with the way the Fuel tank sender wires were left by the chaps at Osnabruck, so I wrapped them in Spira-Wrap and stuck them on the Bulkhead with Cable-Tie mounts. Purists will argue not original but, much neater I think. BLUE Tie Wraps of course

Relieved I overcame the temptation as a 21 year old to cut/fit MASSIVE speakers in the original Parcel Shelf!

Craig no worries mate - I would be nowhere near this stage without all your help over the last 6 years.

Had a great afternoon off work today, weather - just a superb Autumn day. One of many I promised myself to do all Summer yet it rained all the time!

Another case of: 'Wish I'd done a before and after shot' The little carpet bits that go either side of the parcel shelf looked bloody awful, mainly down to the fact that the 'Binding Edging' had completely worn away to the point they were non-existant so it was all fraying away.

Long story short, I gave them to a local dude who upholsters stuff, I tracked him down today and he said he was not happy with the job he'd done. I said let's have a look at least, he said I'll bring you one side I've done. I'm chuffed to bits with it, I gave him the roughest side to do first, true Craftsman.

Yeah the new edging does not quite match up with the original parcel shelf, but he has agreed if? I strip the carpet off the shelf he will sew on the new edging

Really been impressed with this stuff, especially with this attachment that sprays 180 degrees out of the end in a fan like fashion! Sod heating Waxoil on the stove from now on....I've done all the cavities today before the carpet goes in.

Westdubber, Reverend Frog, Mr Funk - many thanks for all your kind words.

Doing a project like this is a very single-minded pursuit, to see words of appreciation directed to what I'm doing means a lot :buddy:

I Know you can watch ' Classic Car Rescue' on Ch 5 where they turn em around in a matter of weeks, the reality is !!!!!

Jeez I wish it was that easy :swoon:

Starting to see some reward now though, I went to see the Dashboard today (under restoration) :D

That is amazing, truly amazing. The only thing that could impress me more would be to see Susanna Reid playing a note perfect rendition of Van Halen's 'Eruption' on Breakfast telly.

Better than new condition by the looks of it. I'm gonna want to take some pics of that for my website.

Sean, PM sent.

Dr Dub - I'm a Hagar led Van Halen man! but many thanks for your appreciation - If I impress you I know I'm doing it right!

Right folks brace yourselves, an old school mate turned up today with his winter hack, he has been working his way through automotive exotica for the last 20 years!
He says's "Jim, It's like this, a new copy of EVO drops through the door every month, why not try something else now and again"
Gili I salute you! I'm still grinning now after that run out :D :D :D :D :D :D

Andy,

You were not to know, my mate is disabled. I'm sorry.

He now lives his life 'packing it all in' as we all must.
