For reason yet explained my handbrake no longer ratchets. I replaced the cables, and now all it does is tension the cables but realeases them... :?: :help: :stupid:

the spring inside the handbrake itself has prob done tits and therefore doesnt engage the little pin thingi to ratchet up.

well the button still works, as it still makes the little thing go up and down. Maybe the metal hook bit has snapped?

Wanna get this sorted out. Is it possible something has popped off and dissapeared into the chassis?

It's defo something to do with the handbrake leaver. It will be the pin or something or a spring I think.

It would be worth unbolting the leaver and having a proper look at all the moving parts.

Sorted. The ratchet kinda spins 180 so It hides in the handle. Spin it back round and its fine.
