Is this seat trim common?

Post by neal.d »

I know it is the dove grey trim, but you see the way the leather comes around at the bottom of the seat? I have seen it like this on some mk2 scirocco before on some site, but never found any info on the trim having more leather than usual?

Thanks

Sorry i could not upload the photo properly, so i just put a link in, i know it is hassle to look through a link, but it would not embed the image for me.
Thanks for looking.

That is just a home-made repair. The seats would not have looked like that from the factory... so from that point of view, no, that seat trim isn't common.

As it goes, those grey seats aren't all that common as they're unique to Scalas of a certain vintage and paint colour.

Thought that it might be the case that it was done aftermarket, it is very well done if that is the case because you would not think it was something added on it seems like part of the leather.
I know the dove grey came on the sapphire metallic car but mine is black, i wondered if the seats had been changed somewhere along the line.

Thanks for the reply, was wondering what the story was with them for awhile.
