MY FIRST ROCCO

Post by dozzum »

Bought this beauty 3 weeks ago, havnt got round to taking any pictures till now as ive been too busy playing with it.
Paid £200 with a month of MOT left on it.
Had to change the fuel tank, steering lock, ignition barrel and door and boot locks, both rear bearings, full new front lightset and grill and a rear calliper.
Passed its MOT yesterday, only advisory was the bearing we hadnt changed before the MOT as we thought it was OK, but done that today.
It was running really dodge but its been ok since MOT, most likeley sumthing to do with the CO level running at 9 rather than about 3 like it should.

Jobs still to do, fit new clutch cable, repaint wheels, standard exhaust, new filler neck, sand back fill and respray rust blisters, needs a rearview mirror, fit rear wiper, wire up stereo and speakers. Webber will be nice at some point when i can afford it. And most importantly chase the police about the wing they crashed into the otha week.

Starting on the wheels this week. Can't decide what to do. Should i just paint them black again or some combination of red and black, any ideas, suggestions or photos would be great.

That looks nice mate, shame about the bump tho.

I'd keep the back box, personally standard pipes look a little lost poking out the back due to the fact they are tiny. Is it too loud or something dude?

In regards to your wheels, I'd paint them black again with a red pin-stripe going round the rim, if you follow?

Seconded about the back box. They look really awkward hanging out on their own, personally I twin pipe exhaust tip looks best for me.

Pins strip would be nice. May have to persuade my more artistic girlfriend to help.
The one on there is too loud. I agree a small twin one is clearly the way too go, anyone know wheres the best place to get one?

Welcome :!:

Nice car. Have a look in the tuners section as there is a register member who makes exhausts.

Red/Black is just about the perfect scirocco. Dont listen to reverned-frog. Keep the wheels black, but paint the rims silver and dump it on its ass
