carbon wing mirrors

Post by Chaps »

Looking to replace my gash m3 style wing mirrors and I have some old mk2 ones lying around. Was going smooth the outer plastic bit to the casing and then cover them with carbon effect wrap.
Has anyone tried tried this or seen it done??
Pics would be great if anyone has seen it done before?

went to wrap them last night, but i dont think its going to happen without some amazing skills downloaded into my head. the shape is a little hard to wrap for my expertise. i did however wrap the B-pillar trim and that looks pretty nice.

I had a look at them tonight too. Think I am going to try and use a hairdrier to assit stretching/shrinking it to fit. Worth giving it a go anyways. We you just wrapping the case or the whole.mirror?

was going to wrap the larger case in one piece, then wrap the smaller part on one piece. if i had more time it could be done, but would require quite a bit of stretching as you say. be a nice outcome though.
