I need some help please, my front O/S bleed nipple is going to shear as the last person to tighten it was He-Man, so before I attempt to undo it I was to get a new one ready to go in. Can anyone tell me the correct size I need. All I know so far is that the hex head seems to be 11mm which seems a strange size, but it is a good fit & the N/S one was the same & the 11mm fitted it perfectly & unscrewed no problem. Getting the old one out when it shears is easy enough, I have the tools to do it, but I need the car on the road so want the new one sitting ready before I break the other one.
Oh - it's a 1990 1.8 with standard calipers on it

Re: Front Caliper Bleed Nipples
Get them from Volkswagen.
Mine has Girling from calipers and the local TPS ordered me new bleed nipples. They were £3 each.
