MK1 Rear Bench

Post by tobyio »

I have a 1980 mk1 & bought a rear bench from a 79 mk1 and the upright back section does not fit!

There are slightly different connections on the bottom of the bench uprights so it does connect into the cars brackets. Was anyone else aware there are different upright back benches for different years??

Cheers

years ago I tried putting storm leather into my old 78 GLS and had to make custom brackets for it to fit,I thought it was a storm thing but then when I later went to fit the leather into my 81GTi fully expecting to have to make up a bracket again but it slotted straight in... :shocking:
