It's now possible to connect your username to your facebook-account.

Go to user control panel,
select the tab facebook manager.
and login with your facebook account.

you can now login using your facebook username and password to login to the registerforum.

it's also possible to like any posts on the board and put it on your own facebook-wall.

have fun!

i use the same mod on the dutch sciroccoforum and isn't available yet.
but for the dutch board i put down a request at the maker from this mod.

so hopefully in the near future this can be switched on and off for users individually.

Thanks Sander.
Surely in this day and age it is not too difficult to put an extra box in Board preferences, user groups or facebook manager and allow individuals the right to choose ??????
I just want to get rid of the logo/link button, not much to ask surely.

Taking that on board I'd suggest it might have been worth waiting until the possibility of opting in or out was actually available rather than everyone being stuck with the little blighter.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Facebook. I do use it, though not an awful lot, and I think the new SR page on Facebook is a superb way of promoting the club to a wider audience, but I have serious doubts about how much call there is to be able to 'Like' forum posts.

Still, I guess we are where we are. As ever you're never going to please all of the people all of the time and if having that little icon pop up on every thread is what I have to endure to benefit from this wonderful site then I guess I can put up with it, but I'd rather it weren't there.

remember it's an add on.

when you like a post, you can decide if you like it enough to post it on your own facebook wall or just like it on the SR.
it makes life easier for facebook (ab)users. remember every website which you go online will say, like/recommend us on facebook.
now we say too.

the more links we have to other sites the better score the SR gets.

Is it possible to get the Facebook logo removed from an individuals screen if the user requests it ???????

Any chance of a reply to this question please.
Just a simple yes or no from one of the Administrators or Global moderators acting on their behalf would do.
Thanks in advance.

When it's available he'll install it.

Tippex?

It offers more interaction to potentially more users, there's been a steady flow of new sign ups since we have done the refreshers- always a good thing.

I appreciate this and I am thankful for it.

To quote the reverse of what the famous Haynes manual says "Removing is a reversal of the fitting procedure"

All I ask is the ability to remove something that I disagree with from my screen PLEASE

This is a non issue.
Sander has explained that as a patch becomes available it will be made available.

We're not switching current facility off for one or two people for the wider reason i went into earlier.

Topic closed until that patch/mod become available.

It may be for you but certainly not for me.

Sander has explained that as a patch becomes available it will be made available.
Brilliant that is what I wanted to know.
We're not switching current facility off for one or two people for the wider reason i went into earlier.
Never requested this at any time and please don't state this again. What I did requested was "Is it possible to get the Facebook logo removed from an individuals screen if the user requests it ???????"
At NO TIME did I request that it be removed for ALL users.
Hope that is now clear.

Topic closed until that patch/mod become available.
So much for free speech and discussion.
