Show Me Your Head Unit!

Post by Risocco »

Don't half fancy a new one, one that feels a little more period and less colourfull. Got my heart seat on Nakamichi, but Spurs scoring from a set piece would be more likely. Lets see what ya got!

my only complaint is that every few weeks, it will either unpair itself from my phone, or turn off the internal amp. neither of which is a big issue, it's just annoying

Thing with Alpine is you can't really tell how old they are - this is old enough not to play copied CDs(!) but still has a changer socket so you can pop an adapter in and get a line in... Proper line outs front and rear and a dedicated sub out, Internal amp's good - I've got it in my B4 estate driving alpine comps in front, infinity comps in the rear and feeding a cheap amp running a 12" RF ... Complete install for under £100

Panasonic (who seem to have stopped making ICE) and Blaupunkt are obviously your only choices for an OEM-ish look. Their recent stuff has also been fairly plain, which might be what you want.

Found a rather lovely Panasonic unit on clearance on eBay, fairly period looking as you suggested, will be the back up plan, cheers mate.
