hi everybody my problem is my handbrake light keeps flickering off and on when the handbrake is off can anybody out there solve this problem

It is also the warning for low brake fluid, check that first mate.

and check it before driving the car! if it loosing fluid, chances are you've got a leak (rear wheel cylinders are the most likely source) or possibly all the friction linings have worn out (although that won't always put the light on)

As above, then look at connections to the switch/the switch itself, located on the handbrake lever.

thanks guys topped up the brake fluid and the handbrake light has not come back on thanks to everybody out there

There must be some reason why you are low on brake fluid, check the rear wheel brake cylinders, you will need to take the brake drum off or if you can see fluid dripping out its time for some new brake shoes as well !
