Mk1 Trim Clips

Post by dan95x »

Afternoon Chaps,

Does anyone know of a source for the exterior trim clips for a Mk1 rocco - The ones that hold the boomerang on around the rear side windows, and also the slightly larger ones that hold the chrome strips on on the sills?

A part of my memory tells me that they may be the same as the trim clips for 1303 beetles, but it is equally possible I have made this up - anyone know of reputable sources (I am taking it for granted that VW will have obsoleted them years ago!)

Cheers in advance

Dan

Boomerang clips are unobtainium.

If you can confirm that they're the same as some beetle clips you Sir will be a hero...

another thought - have you got one of said clips you can either photograph or get a part number from? i've got a bag of assorted 1303 trim clips for my 1303

I have just looked it up on ETKA, and it looks like I may have been wrong - Part numbers are definitely different, but there is still something nagging at me telling me that they are the same as the clips on the 1303 somewhere.

I think we have some of the 1303 clips in the family garage at home, I will have a look and compare them if I can find them.

Anyone know where I can get the sill ones from anyway?

Cheers

Dan
