Mk1 Front Speakers - any custom installs out there?
As in title, I'm wondering if anyone has put in anything other than the optional 6x4 speakers/door pockets? Pic below shows the door pockets from a late mk1 Cabrio - which I think give a nice factory look whilst allowing an upgrade to 5.25" speakers. Note the tweeter too.

Ok, well I just picked up a set of Scirocco "S" door cards and a Cabriolet door pocket/tweeter set. Here is a quick mock-up

What kind of speaker set up are you wanting?
MIne are pretty OTT 6" mids but the concept is the same. Only problem I've found is that I've had to fabric cover. Tweeter wise you ca recess them in the dash (if you don't mind cutting the dash, nt always the best option for a mk1). Sound quality is superb

i've found that for tweeters (and keeping the dash unmolested) that 3m tape with the cased tweeters to a more than fine job in my mates Corrado, which to add is professionally set up ;)
