early mk1 wings

Post by Rich_Rocco »

apologies if this has been covered before. i did a quick search but didnt see anything.

if i was to put early wings on a late car would i need to get a different grill or indicators, if so how hard are they to find?
and would the slight bumper recesses in the wings match up with the late plastic bumpers?

thanks in advance
If it's got tits or tyres it's trouble but I always go back for more.

From what I remember I think the headlamp frames are different. The indicators are definitely different and are taller so I don't think they'll fit with the plastic bumpers.
I think both parts can safely be classified as "rare".

i did turn up a set of new hella indicators to match the early wings on german ebay a year or so ago. i think the early ones are easier to find, same as the wings.

please note: 'easier' and not 'easy'
