Mk2 flared arches where can I get some
Anybody know where to get replaceable front wings with flared arches and what to get and how to go about flaring the rear arches. I have some wheels that stick out too far for simple arch rolling. Looking to add a couple of inches to the flare.
Thanks

You are going to need a different kit, either BBS or Reiger, but these are rare and probably cost more than a different set of wheels!
Out of interest what sort of wheels have you got, pictures?

Ian I have some BBS which I have put on to the Scirocco. Got paint job and interior lined up but need to get the wheels legal first. Was wondering if arch rolling will extend the arches enough to do this or whether I need an arch kit.

I have never rolled arches before so I wouldn't like to say Jim. Them BBS wheels look expensive items.

Probably easier to adjust the camber to make them tuck in more, lowering the car will sort that a bit, otherwise use shims.
Failing that, a touch more tyre stretch or the answer I guessing you don't wanna hear is get smaller dishes.
Out of interest what E.T are those wheels and what width?

Re: Mk2 flared arches where can I get some
It would be extremely difficult to flare the factory bodykit, unless you can get hold of somebody who is damn good and inventive with plastic welding. I have never seen it done before. So, unless as Ian says you but an aftermarket bodykit with wider arches you may have to remove the bodykit and flare the metal arches. Alternatively I have seen some Mk2 Scirocco racing cars with flares, although these may be custom jobbies?

if you took the bodykit off alltogether, you could probably get away with some bolt on arches, jap style.

That's a stunning car! Modified Datsun/Nissan?
*edit* I'm clearly going blind, and didn't see the Datsun decal on the front wing...

its a datsun 240z (could be 260 too). i'd quite happily give any one of my limbs for one.
you can get those style arches quite easily and cheaply.

Re: Mk2 flared arches where can I get some
When I had my Mk2 I had the same wheels, coilovers but no bodykit. I was going to cut the arches off and weld Mk2 Golf items in place. These have more of a flare to accomadate the rims. Did find a picture on google at the time and it looked well, unfortunately don't have it anymore.
