Hi all i have a 89 scala with a snaped front coil spring and a snaped rear coil spring,i went to order new ones with uni part and i was told that the scala has a different setup to the normal ,and iam havein real trouble trying to track down some is uni part right or not?
i have also tryed euro,ces,vw and german sweedish

Not wishing to throw a spanner in the works and add confusion, but vw spec'd different springs for different models. I believe the gtx was factory lowered when compared to a 1.6 gt. Springs were certainly marked with different coloured paint blobs to identify spring rates.MRMENDER wrote:There is nothing different re springs to any MK2 Scirocco
I'd buy 4 matching springs if i could in your situation as most aftermarket will be one rate fits all! Also you won't have to do the other 2 in the near future!

The only Scirocco that was lower was the 16v. Agree with changing the springs in pairs, GSF do them for about £18 each.

thanku you everyone i got the springs from ces today and fitted them they went on ok but the car is still on the ramp as i had to replace almost all the brake lines for the mot,i only replaced the springs that i needed just to get a ticket on it then i might get some coil overs i think
