The Rave Nation revival didn't get off to a peace and love start.

How do we look?

Now to fit the car up.

I figure that I want the car to be useable, durable and enjoyed very often, so opted for mudflaps and steel wheels.

Needs a few more things doing, then a mop and valet and a full service. Pics are dusty pics and the flash harsh, I wanted to get it out into the daylight but I ran out of light on these seasonal nights.

Busy busy.

Made some time to finally put the other new rear arch on the '77.

Rot cut out.
Image

Like the other arch this one also needed a new inner section. Made from a Mk1 Golf repair section:
Image

And the outer welded in
Image

Won't need much plod, just a light smidge
Image

Its now down off the tilter so that I can attack the front of the car -inner wings and front lower corners. Huge thanks again to Marshall for loan of the tilter.

Painted these bad boys too. I love the curtains in the bay.

Thanks guys :good:

Official colour is 'Perl metallic' (spelt that way on the boot sticker), code L94K. The colour is not factory correct on my car though, as it was matched to a previous respray.

I will get some more pics up of the Ro80. Hopefully will get going on it in Spring.

Things have been very busy at the grotto. Here is a bit of an update.

During January I had young Rob Webster's GT2 in for a bit of a major refurb. He had a new tank, fuel pipes, filler neck, brake hard lines and flexy hoses and his wheels de-rusted and painted. Like a fool i forgot to take pics except for this poor photograph of the car on the ramp:
Image

I also had this car in during late January to fit a new clutch and carry out a partial respray and thorough de-ming:
Image

Then mid-Feb and over most of March we decided to clear the end of the Grotto and build a paint shop.
Image

And I also bought another (and complete) NSU Ro80.
