Bush Storm

Post by PhilJ »

Did say I'd be back in a rocco at some point. Heres my old one...

Anyway, had a random phone call from a friend of my uncle who said if I wanted to come get this rocco and get it going again feel free to. Couldn't argue really, so few days later I went round there and pulled it out of its hole...

Put a battery on it, topped up the oil, started on a couple turns! Had been sitting there for 2 years, certainly looks like it too.

So chucked it in for its MOT, and it didnt do too badly. Needed an exhaust (which was perfect as I've just started making them!) Some brakes, lights and thats it. So treated it to a full service, and made this for it today. Full stainless system, 2 silencers, 2" bore to twin 2.5" tailpipes.

Hopefully be MOT'd tomorrow, then I get to drive with the many families of spiders living in it. Will give it a polish, its still green.

Just what I like to hear, another Storm being rescued. I "found" one in a crap state a few months back and have been steadily bringing it back to it's former glory. I take it there is Cosmos blue underneath the green? :shocking:

I must say the exhaust stirred the loins, did you say that you make these? How much for a back box to fit onto a standard system?

Lucky? I know! And unbelievably, I may have just found another brown storm sitting around.

Its not too bad this one, does seem like the arches are starting to go behind the kit. Will have to have a proper look.

Indeed its the cosmos blue, once its mot'd will give it a proper clean. Think the seats are going to have to come out as they are hanging and I doubt its much fun waiting for a set to turn up.

Yeah making the exhausts, theres a few threads around on forums of some of our other work (Retro rides, clubpolo, no rice etc) Can do this rocco system for £260, £230 if you want it with a straight through center section, and I've just read you only wanted a backbox. Can do that for £160.

I contacted you ages ago on NR about one for the bandit but don't go on there anymore.
Have you had any luck for the four branch manifolds yet? Could defo do with a back box though. Could you PM me you details again please.

Brown Storm, class! I will get back to you ref exhausts. Where are you based?

Look at DR Dubs website ref badges for the rear of your Storm.

 I've been quiet recently tbh, my mate who I share the workshop with has been complaining since we got in here.

Its got the hump already, went to take it for its retest and the starters packed up, got a new one, and the alarms got the hump!! Bloody cliffords, I hate them.
