Door seals?
Are these still available from VW? Scala has a wet rear footwell I just spotted today! I haven't used it much in past year and noticed the passenger side door sticking to rubber a bit and am putting it down to that. My mk2 polo did a similar thing and then the seal started leaking bucket loads!!! Just hoping nothing to do with windscreen!!!!

Re: Door seals?
This is actually more likely the membrane behind the door card and is often not that obvious. Maybe even a slight crack on your scuttle cover (fixed mine with a bit of duck tape) or even a gromet/corrosion in the bulk head allowing water through.
Check your plastic membranes 1st, try tracing it back from where the seal appears to leak. This happened on my old Mk2 Polo and it was the smallest gap in the adhesive/tape that was allowing water through.

Re: Door seals?
Brilliant cheers guys! I'm putting it into garage tonight to lift carpet up and get it dried out and try sort exactly where coming from
Checked the heritage site and they list it for £54. If it cured my issue I wouldn't give a fiddlers at that ££

Re: Door seals?
Took seat out and lifted carpet. All dried out, so poured water all around screen and door to see where coming in, but floor has stayed dry. I did put lots rubber care on seals so that maybe make bit difference
I'm gonna put back together and see what happens.

Re: Door seals?
Sounds odd, but is it possible that the leak's coming from the rear of the car? I'm wondering whether it could be the rear window seal or possibly even something in the boot area...

Re: Door seals?
Have it back out garage tonight and back in daily use so I'll see how it gets on.............. it was maybe just angry at me not using it enough
Re: Door seals?
I replaced the boot loack seal a while ago, but I know 1 badge clip not great. Boot is dry enough though.
We've had mad rain here past few days.............. I'm clinging onto the hope that what I did to the door seals will sort it

Re: Door seals?
Has yours got a sunroof?
MarkH suspects on my GTX that the channels are blocked, as periodically I get damp in the car. I had a swimming pool in the rear drivers side footwell one time...checking, clearing & replacing channels is not a couple of hours job - I gather you need to remove the headlining inside the car....

Re: Door seals?
A quick and easy way to clear the sunroof channels is to buy about 3 metres of tubing that will fit inside the existing channels and feed it through to clear out any debris, this method can also be used to replace but you will need more than 3 metres.
