Mk1 Golf Cabby handbrake cables the same?

Post by MacColl »

Having recently refurbished my front end with bushes, bearings and suspension I am now looking at doing a rear end refurbishment. I have a spare rear beam and am in the midst of sourcing all the bits I need.

The following website advertises the following kit for a Mk1 Golf Cabriolet along with some other parts which I think would fit. Do you think this kit especially handbrake cables would be compatible with an 89 Mk2 Scirocco GT?..

Also the engine mounting kit for example, I phoned them and they said it was different or are they wrong?..

There are other parts that I am pretty sure fit Mk2 Roccos. Just trying to get the best deal from various sites with postage also being a factor. Been on Veedubmachine, VW Heritage and AVS looking for parts also.

Thanks
