7.5 inch rims

Post by thebrief_1979 »

Hi guys, any advice appreciated on this topic

i have a standard mk2 gt2 scirocco 1993 and its on 15 inch bbs ra's

possibly looking to put different wheels on it - thinking of 7.5 wide rims - if i put 195 wide tyres on it will they go under the arches without rolling them

cheers

you'll need 45 series rubber - ronal ls a good fit at that 7.5 x 15 size.

will i get away with 185/50/15 on a set of Ronal LS's - if not what size (195/45/15?) would you reccomend without rolling the arches

failing that how much are my 15" bbs RA's in very good condition with part worn (5mm) firestones 185/50/15 worth?

tring to work out the best value solution

thanks

i've used 16x7.5j et25 rims before. 205, not sure on profile. they where too wide offset. on standard suspension, any load inn the back caused rubbing. 15's with lower profile / thinner tyres could be a different kettle of fish though.

ive still got those wheels, probably going to sell them on after a refurb.
