Post by porkymcchop »

I have just acquired a rather natty pair of 40 mm lowering springs that came out of a mk1 golf cabrio.. . am i right in thinking this will fit nicely onto the mk2 rocco?

I would guess they are alright, they will fit but the cabriolet is heavier so might not sit as low on a Mk2

Should be fine if they really are specifically for a mk1 cabby, that and a mk 2 rocco probably are fairly close in weight I'd imagine, compared to mk 1 golf and rocco. I'd expect them to be generic mk1 chassis fitment though.
Most aftermarket spring manufacturers these days just make 1 spring to fit all models on the mk 1 chassis and don't take into account the differing weights of each model and different spring rates needed for different weight cars.
