MK 2 ORIGIAL ROOF RACK RAILS
Can anybody help me sort out a problem i have with an original roof rack complete with NOS locking cross bars i have just bought for my mint 84 scirocco, I bought the roof bars but cant work out where the two ends that fit under the tailgate fit, I thought they would fit to the tailgate hinge but they dont line up, I have heard that there are two small extra brackets for that area that are often left on the car when removeing the roof rails, is this correct if so, where can i get them from. cheers Tom

As far as i am aware i believe the brackets are now obsolete from VW. Someone may have a spare set knocking about, try posting in the wanted section, i believe these are very rare though. Good hunting
