So hanging around on the mig welding site threw up this gem...

for localised rust (the big rusty scabs in the centre of a door for example) could you get away with cutting the side out of a plastic milk bottle and sticking it to the door with silicone sealer, then just fill it with the acid?

I don't see why not... you might want to check it's not going to eat away at the silicon sealer first though :D

Might be worth sticking it on upside down (so the bottle top is underneath) for draining the acid out and rinsing the excess off prior to removal :yup:

Which usually means it'll do a decent job then, lol. :D

Seriously though, your own Health and safety should prioritise over anything... no point in having a nice shiny car with no rust if you oxidised your arms off getting it there. Unless you install a mouth drive system before curing the rust of course.
