No Alex, that isn't the part he needs, it is the gasket that covers this boot, fits from inside the car.

Hi Rohan & Ian is it part 5a ?
If it is I'll have a look tomorrow and see if it is still there.

Yes, part 5a, a split gasket that covers the hole in the bulkhead where the steering rack goes.

Hi,
is this any good ?
I managed to find it ok.
The boot it goes inside is knackered due to its close proximity to the exhaust pipe.
It more or less fell apart in my hands.
The number on it is 171 419 547 A if it is any help.
If you want it pm me with an address to send it to (home or work) and I'll get it away tomorrow.

Well another productive Saturday, for Wildrider and Glenn with a bit of help from me

The list of things done is MASSIVE and the effort put in by Glenn was HUMONGOUS so a massive thank you to him (once again).

Here's what I recall being done:

1) Opened the tank and used a magnet to pick up lots of rust and a large piece of the return hose that was also in the tank.
2) Removed the old (badly repaired) filler neck
3) Rubbed down corroded area of the tank and painted
4) Cleaned up and attached the new stainless steel filler I purchased on here (used my original lock and key)
5) Changed all 4 injectors with brand new Bosch ones
6) Changed the Coolant hose with a braided line
7) Changed the Oil Filter
8) Changed the Oil
9) Changed the Gearbox Oil (which was like water! (probably never changed)
10) Rubbed down and rust treated, painted and sealed varied parts of the under carriage, both sills near the jacking points, centre chasis, brake lines
11) Removed and lowered the rear suspension to its lowest setting
12) Changed the fuel filter
13) Re set-up the fuel mixture and tested emissions

Took the car for a blitz and enjoyed it purring like new!

Seems like Glenn was superman today, completed so much that needed doing in so little time! and even had time to buy me lunch in between, what a mate!!

So my hats off to your sir, once again you have outdone yourself, thank you :beers: :hi:

Sounds good Rohan, has all the water gone now and have you fitted the gasket?
