Electrikey Escaping-Number plate lamp drain

Post by duncancallum »

Any one had a problem where the number plate lights are on on their own completw with the dash lights. Its been fine, layed it up for 3 weeks and now its bust. Bloody cars.

I have another couple of issues with the electrics which i pulled the fuse on, the after market central locking went mental and the rear wiper runs on its own. These I pulled the fuse on till i had the time to sort but the lighting faults an urgent.

It sounds like an earth fault to me, but from a quick look at wiring diagrams, I can't spot a common link, that said I'm most of the way through a bottle of edelweiss beer after a long day so perhaps shouldn't be looking at magic string maps!

Does it make a difference having the ignition on or off?
